Refund policy

Recover less than three times what you paid on the flat plan and the fee comes back. How the promise is measured, when it is paid, and what it does not cover.

Effective 16 October 2026.

On the flat-fee plan, BagBack charges a fixed amount and refunds it if the claim does not pay off, by an objective rule so there is nothing to argue about. The pay-when-it-pays plan works the other way round: nothing to refund, because nothing is charged unless the airline pays. The 24-hour filing promise adds to this: if we miss it, no fee is charged on that claim (see below).

The rule

How to claim it

Record the amount you received on your case page, in the outcome section, within twelve months of paying the fee. If it is below the threshold, the refund is triggered automatically; you will see it on the case page and get an email. The money goes back to the payment method you paid with within ten business days. If the airline pays nothing at all, record zero; that counts.
