Longer reads on baggage rules, airline behaviour and what travelers actually recover. The short, rules-first answers are in the guides.

The guides answer one question each, with the rule, the figure and the deadline: how much you can claim, when a delayed bag is lost, how to write the letter. The blog is where the longer pieces go: how a claim actually unfolds over six weeks, what airlines say when they decline, what people recover and how, and the changes in the rules as they happen. Both are written by Matthew Johan and both draw their figures from the claim engine, so a post and a guide never disagree about a number.
When there is something to say: a rule change, a pattern in the cases, a question that keeps arriving at help@getbagback.com. Posts carry the date they were published and are revised when a figure changes, with the revision noted.
Not here. The first-hour checklist if you are still at the airport, then the claim builder, which shows what the airline owes and your deadlines before anything is signed. Come back to the blog once the claim is in.
